A darkly playful film about greed as a timeless human instinct, moving across eras and worlds, from tribal power struggles and battlefields to a 70s nightclub, desert riders and contemporary fashion. The brief arrived at 1am, and by the following afternoon I was presenting a treatment that reinvented every scene while protecting the original idea. Shot over three near-24-hour days, it became controlled madness on an enormous scale. The film went on to win at Cannes Lions and multiple international awards.
